In short while of the ahead 2023 General Election, some outgoing governors have reportedly announced their preferred successors. Although, these serving governors ‘ll complete their second Term by May 2023, The announcement of their preferred choice has put an end to speculations in their respective States.

They include;

1. Governor Udom Emmanuel (Akwa-ibom State)

He recently announced his preference for One of his Cabinet Members, Pastor Umo Eno, the Incumbent Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources to succeed him as Governor in 2023.

Eno joined the Cabinet of Governor Emmanuel less than a year ago. The Governor expressed optimism that Eno will sustain his legacy and consolidate on his Achievements in the State.

2. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State)

According to a report Credited to Vanguard News, Ikpeazu and his Kinsmen are reportedly backing the Lawmaker representing Abia South Senatorial District, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe to succeed him as Governor in 2023. Already, Abaribe has declared his intention to contest for Governorship Position, The Third-term Senator was instrumental to the emergence of Ikpeazu in 2015.
